Life is how you choose to look at it. We believe in every challenge, there is a possibility. In every obstacle, there is something to learn.

TED Talks on Thursdays: Clayton Cameron Math, Rhythm, and Music
Some day, we should all get together and meet they.
You already know who they are.
They say a watched pot never boils. It does, it just feels like forever because it is almost as exciting as watching paint dry.
They say starve a cold, feed a fever. Does that mean if you have a cold you can or can't have chicken soup? Does it matter if you have a fever? If it is chicken soup, can you have bits in it or does it need to be broth?
They also say that music is a great way to teach kids math. If I had been able to keep a beat that was consistent and other people could count to, it might have been valid for me. The only way for me to hold a beat was to have a metronome or a person who could actually count in a rhythmic manner clue me in so I sounded not all together horrible.
Percussionists are amazing because they cannot only count a beat and set a beat, they also set the mood and rhythm for a song and often an entire evening.
Clayton Cameron is able to explain it and make it fun! Why couldn't he have been the band director when I was a kid? (Yes, another quickie.)

Ted Talks on Thursdays: Hannah Fry and the Mathematics of Love
It seems that there is a theme here with the TED Talks. A pattern, if you will.
Hannah Fry's talk on the mathematics of love maintains the pattern, but breaks it at the same time.
Enjoy!

TED Talks on Thursdays: Love Story that is Unexpected with Adam Spencer
People talk about Motivation on Mondays.
Almost anywhere in the southwest Taco Tuesday is celebrated.
Friday? Well it seems like everyone celebrates Friday. And while that isn't a bad thing, there are other days that get overlooked. Neglected even.
What about Wednesday? It is just the peak of the week, but nobody really says, TGIW? Or do they?
Thursday is called Friday Eve in many workplaces.
As a committee of one, I have opted that Thursdays will become TED Talks on Thursdays. They are always interesting and have a unique spin.
Today's TED Talk is Adam Spencer a man who fell in love with prime numbers.

TED on Thursdays: Slam Poetry of Harry Baker
Is the glass half empty or half full?Is it the right size glass?
Does a yellow light indicate it's time to speed through the intersection or stop?
Or does it mean, the light is almost ripe and will be red soon?
TED Talks are amazing, short, inspirational, and often have a different spin on a subject.
Today's subject is numbers combined with poetry.
Who knew you could write a love poem about numbers, prime numbers specifically?
Harry Baker.
Take a couple of minutes and know that anything and everything is an inspiration!
